Emergency Radiology 2019 will provide comprehensive presentations and interactive discussions covering the broad range of emergency imaging, including epidemiology and mechanisms of trauma, clinicians' expectations of imaging and an integrated imaging approach to injuries of the head, neck, spine, torso, pelvis and appendicular skeleton.

Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:


  1. Rapidly determine the appropriate imaging studies to perform.
  2. Identify less common clinical conditions that present in the emergency setting.
  3. Update imaging protocols to optimize diagnostic accuracy while minimizing radiation.
  4. Accurately interpret emergency imaging studies, and recognize when additional imaging is indicated.

*Resident/Fellow rates require written confirmation of current Resident/Fellow status. Failure to provide current documentation will result in a higher rate applied to your registration.

Registrations increase by $50.00 starting July 11, 2019.

Walk-in registrations incur a $25.00 administrative fee.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The Office of Continuing Medical Education must receive written notification of your cancellation by July 28, 2019. A $75.00 processing fee will be deducted from refund requests received by this date. No refunds will be issued following July 28, 2019.

The Office of Continuing Medical Education reserves the right to cancel this course twenty days prior to the course date when a minimum enrollment is not met or for other reasons that prevent the University from holding the course. Each registrant will be notified by telephone followed by written notification and a full refund. The University of Washington is not responsible for any other costs incurred such as non-refundable airline tickets or hotel penalties.   • Payment can be made individually or combined as a group total. Payment terms are net-15.
  • Group Discount of 15% per person valid through 7/10; discount of 10% per person valid 7/11 and after.
  • UW Residents and Fellows are not eligible for this discounted rate.

Additional Information

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Radiologists (residents, fellows, and practicing radiologists) and imaging technologists. Other practitioners in Emergency Medicine may also find the imaging approach and interpretation to be helpful, such as physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and MDs working in emergency departments.

ONLINE PRESENTATIONS AND MATERIALS
Syllabus material will be available online for conference registrants. Materials will be available beginning August 5, 2019, for registrants to print and/or download. A booklet with the conference agenda and pages for note-taking will be provided at the conference. No printed presentation materials will be available.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
Course activities are exclusively reserved for attendees. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.

DIETARY REQUESTS
UW CME takes into consideration diverse nutritional preferences and restrictions when planning our complimentary menu. However, those individuals who might find that our menu is not completely aligned to their specific nutritional needs are welcome to bring their own food items.
