Eric A Roberge, MD

              Lieutenant Colonel Roberge is the director of Diagnostic Imaging at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA, and Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD.  He is an expert in mass casualty and disaster planning in radiology, and he deployed to Iraq as the Chief of Radiology for the 47th Combat Support Hospital in 2009

              In his clinical work, Dr. Roberge serves as the director of cardiac imaging at Madigan where he has expanded the role of radiology in cardiac imaging from a subspecialty niche to a safe and cost-effective tool for risk stratifying patients in general practice clinics and the emergency department.

              Dr. Roberge’s interests include healthcare system design and quality improvement.  His focus on patient safety, access to care, staff rightsizing, and workflow optimization contributed to Madigan Army Medical Center’s top performance in the Defense Health Agency in 2015 and 2016.

              Dr. Roberge earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY, and his M.D. from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA.  He completed a general surgery internship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI, and served as a flight surgeon in Korea for two years before completing a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Madigan Army Medical Center.
