Joel A Gross M.D.  Brief Biographical Sketch

 

Dr. Gross graduated from the University of California at Davis Medical School in 1994. Following residency and fellowship training, he joined the University of Washington Department of Radiology, where he continues to work in the Emergency Radiology section at Harborview Medical Center.

 

He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2008, at which time he also became section chief. Dr. Gross has contributed to multiple educational components of the department, including medical student education, residency training and evaluation, and was the Emergency Radiology fellowship director from 2005-2015.

 

He has served on numerous committees for the American Society of Emergency Radiology (ASER) since 2006, and has chaired or served on the program committee of the department’s yearly CME course on Emergency Radiology since 2006. 

 

His research interests include the effective and efficient imaging of emergency and trauma patients, and imaging of urinary tract trauma.
