Overview
The three-year UW research project, Augmented Momentary Personal Ecological Risk Evaluation (AMPERE), is a User centered design (UCD) study funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) to develop and pilot an ecological momentary assessment (EMA) suicide risk monitoring system to support primary care suicide risk management. The goal of the project is to develop a suicide risk monitoring system that will improve risk management for young adults experiencing suicidality, their family, and the healthcare team and to make primary care treatment a more therapeutic experience. Dr. Ian Bennett (UWPC-Northgate), is the principal investigator. We aim to improve outcomes for patients without overburdening providers/provider teams. The 6-month pilot will test the feasibility and acceptability of the developed AMPERE prototype. 40-50 young adult (16-30) patients** of 10 UW providers will use the AMPERE app providing data to their participating provider. Providers will participate in monthly AMPERE ECHO clinical skill and case review sessions. Providers will complete two feedback surveys (1, 6-months).
