Overview

Update 3/10/20: Due to the recent concerns and outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), it has been decided to hold the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Review course only via Zoom Live Webinar. Registration remains open for attendance via Webinar only.

Online registration has CLOSED effective Wednesday, March 25th at 4pm Pacific Time.

This course is designed as a comprehensive review for physicians preparing for ABPM&R Part 1 or 2 Board Certification or re-certification examinations. The curriculum is divided into modules chaired by expert faculty. Teaching methodology is primarily via lectures, with interactive waveform analysis for EMG review.  Please note there will not be a mock orals component.



Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Demonstrate proficiency in the evaluation and diagnosis of common rehabilitation problems, patient management, common equipment and assistive technology and applied sciences.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of common neurologic disorders, musculoskeletal medicine amputation, medical rehabilitation, rehabilitation problems and outcomes as well as basic sciences.
  3. Describe new developments in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.

The UW CME office is a self-sustaining unit and does not depend on or receive public monies in support of its educational efforts. The course fees are estimated to include transcript of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, access to online instruction materials, conference logistics, taxes, faculty planning and salaries.

Senior residents and recent graduates preparing for Board certification or other physicians preparing for re-certification within the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, or any healthcare professional seeking to update their knowledge of PM&R.

Syllabus material will be available online at uwcme.org (for conference registrants only) starting on March 20, 2020. Registrants may print and/or download the materials.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
Course activities are exclusively reserved for course attendees.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The Office of Continuing Medical Education must receive written notification of your cancellation by March 13, 2020. No refunds will be issued following March 13, 2020. A $75.00 processing fee will be deducted from refund requests received by this date.  The processing fee will only be waived if the course is cancelled by the Office of Continuing Medical Education. Cancellation by the registrant prior to the official cancellation by CME will not result in a subsequent return of the processing fee. The Office of Continuing Medical Education reserves the right to cancel this course twenty (20) days prior to the course date when a minimum enrollment is not met or for other reasons that prevent the University from holding the course. Each registrant will be notified by telephone followed by written notification and a full refund.
