Overview

GIM Grand Rounds plays a significant role in the continuing education of the Division of General Internal Medicine faculty, residents, trainees, and the community at large. The overall goals of the program are 1) to provide a brief review of new developments and keep up to date on current changes in the various facets of general internal medicine; 2) to present new concepts in these disciplines; 3) to bring to our audience the most contemporary speakers to inform and suggest new ideas and concepts in internal medicine; and 4) to stimulate curiosity, excitement and a respectful exchange of ideas.

Objectives
  1. Discuss recent advances in medicine related to various diseases and conditions.
  2. Incorporate new technologies, research, and medicine into their practice when needed and appropriate.
  3. Promote collegiality among faculty and other attendees.
  4. Provide updates in medical research and in diagnosis and treatment.
