Overview

The Advances in Clinical Care: Confluence Health and UW Medicine Summit is an interprofessional continuing education conference designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, EMS clinicians, and other healthcare professionals. This one-day event provides evidence-based clinical updates from UW Medicine and regional experts while fostering collaboration among healthcare teams across Central Washington. Sessions will focus on the latest advances in rural cardiology, trauma, stroke care, and interfacility transfer, equipping participants with practical knowledge and strategies to improve patient outcomes in rural and critical access communities.


Objectives
  1. Apply current evidence-based strategies for the recognition, stabilization, and management of cardiac emergencies across prehospital, transport, and hospital care settings.
  2. Evaluate best practices in the assessment, triage, and time-sensitive treatment of acute stroke to improve interdisciplinary coordination and patient outcomes.
  3. Integrate contemporary trauma care principles and team-based communication strategies into the management of critically injured patients across the continuum of care.
