Objectives
  1. Explain the pathogenesis, diagnostic evaluation strategies, and evidence-based treatment options for common malignant hematologic diseases, and apply this knowledge to collaborative care planning.
  2. Explain the pathogenesis, diagnostic workup, and current therapeutic modalities for common solid tumor malignancies, and integrate this information into team-based decision-making.
  3. Apply national guidelines and consensus recommendations to develop individualized, patient-centered treatment plans that incorporate clinical, psychosocial, and patient-preference factors.
  4. Evaluate and incorporate emerging therapies, diagnostics, and clinical trial data into practice to optimize outcomes across the interprofessional care continuum.
  5. Collaborate effectively within the interprofessional team to identify care gaps, coordinate management strategies, and improve quality and safety in oncology care delivery.
