Odland Lecture has a focus on innovation and discovery in dermatology research. The Philip H. Fleckman Lecture has a focus on nail disorders. First and second year residents present patient cases at the Odland and Pommerening lectures.

Objectives
  1. Describe recent advances in dermatologic research and their implications for clinical practice.
  2. Discuss how fundamental discoveries in skin biology inform the development of new diagnostic or therapeutic approaches.
  3. Identify opportunities to translate emerging research findings into clinical or investigational practice.
  4. Summarize current evidence-based advances in medical dermatology and their relevance to patient care.
  5. Apply updated diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines to improve clinical decision-making.
  6. Evaluate new and emerging therapies for dermatologic conditions and their appropriate use in practice.
  7. Describe current scientific understanding of nail and skin developmental disorders.
  8. Recognize key diagnostic features and management strategies for patients with these disorders.
  9. Integrate recent research findings into the clinical evaluation and treatment of developmental skin diseases.
