Overview
Sudden cardiac death remains a leading public health concern that continues to be the subject of clinical and translational research aimed at predicting and improving outcomes of patients who are at risk for and survive cardiac arrest. The planning committee recognizes the importance of continued education of providers at all levels in providing the most up to date evidence .

Objectives
  1. Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-driven tools for predicting and preventing sudden cardiac death (SCD), including wearable devices and computational modelin
  2. Analyze disparities in SCD outcomes across racial, ethnic, and gender groups, and explore strategies to improve equity in care delivery.
  3. Review current and upcoming clinical trials related to implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), wearable cardiac defibrillators (WCDs), and other risk-modification therapies.
  4. Discuss the evolving role of resuscitation science and community engagement in improving out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) survival rates.
  5. Identify SCD risk factors in special populations, including athletes, cardio-oncology patients, and individuals with genetic or inflammatory cardiomyopathies.
