Traditionally, we have thought of “teaching” as simply delivering the necessary educational content to learners. However, decades of educational research highlights that a positive learning climate is critical for learning to occur. Participants will reflect on their learning experiences and employ concrete techniques to foster a positive learning climate. The impact of bias and racism will be emphasized. Concepts from this session will be revisited repeatedly throughout the series.
