Overview

This innovative and interactive course is a comprehensive review for physicians preparing for ABPM&R Part 1 or 2 Board Certification or re-certification examinations. The course has been designed to maximize virtual learning by providing content in a variety of formats. The curriculum is divided into content modules taught by University of Washington and guest faculty with content expertise, and will include pre-recorded lectures that can be viewed on demand with live interactive cases and panel discussions. Live sessions will allow learners to engage with the experts with ample opportunity to ask questions. We are also offering an optional oral mock board session that is consistently rated as one of the most highly useful and enjoyable sessions.

Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:


  1. Establish proficiency in the evaluation and diagnosis of common rehabilitation problems, patient management, common equipment and assistive technology and applied sciences.
  2. Review common neurologic disorders, musculoskeletal medicine amputation, medical rehabilitation, rehabilitation problems and outcomes, as well as basic sciences.
  3. Describe new developments in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.

The UW CME office is a self-sustaining unit and does not depend on or receive public monies in support of its educational efforts. The course fees are estimated to include transcript of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, access to online instruction materials, conference logistics, taxes, faculty planning and salaries.

If you have not received confirmation prior to the course, please contact the CME office at cme@uw.edu. Continuing Medical Education will not be responsible for expenses incurred by an individual who is not confirmed.

OPTIONAL MOCK ORAL EXAMINATION
Optional mock oral exams conducted by course faculty will be available on Friday, April 30, from 12:00 to 2:30 pm in 20-minute individual sessions.  In order to participate in the optional mock orals, please select "Optional Mock Orals" during the registration process. Maximum 0.25 credit hour for participation.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
The Office of Continuing Medical Education must receive written notification of your cancellation by April 11, 2021. A $75.00 processing fee will be deducted from refund requests received by this date. No refunds will be issued following April 11, 2021. 

The Office of Continuing Medical Education reserves the right to cancel this course prior to the course date when a minimum enrollment is not met or for other reasons that prevent the University from holding the course. Each registrant will be notified by written notification and a full refund. Senior residents and recent graduates preparing for Board Certification or other physicians preparing for re-certification within the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Additionally, any healthcare professional seeking to update their knowledge of PM&R.
