Objectives
  1. Describe the pathophysiology of sickle cell disease (SCD).
  2. Distinguish the mechanisms of action of SCD-modifying drugs.
  3. Interpret changes in laboratory parameters that correlate with therapeutic benefit of SCD-modifying drugs.
