Emergency Radiology 2018 will provide comprehensive presentations and interactive discussions covering the broad range of emergency imaging, including epidemiology and mechanisms of trauma, clinicians’ expectations of imaging and an integrated imaging approach to injuries of the head, neck, spine, torso, pelvis and appendicular skeleton.

Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:


  1. Determine the appropriate imaging studies to perform.
  2. Review less common clinical conditions that present in the emergency setting.
  3. Update imaging protocols to optimize diagnostic accuracy while minimizing radiation.
  4. Accurately interpret emergency imaging studies, and recognize when additional imaging is indicated.

Registrations increase by $50.00 starting July 24, 2018.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The Office of Continuing Medical Education must receive written notification of your cancellation by July 27, 2018. A $75.00 processing fee will be deducted from refund requests received by this date. No refunds will be issued following July 27, 2018.

The Office of Continuing Medical Education reserves the right to cancel this course twenty days prior to the course date when a minimum enrollment is not met or for other reasons that prevent the University from holding the course. Each registrant will be notified by telephone followed by written notification and a full refund. The University of Washington is not responsible for any other costs incurred such as non-refundable airline tickets or hotel penalties. Additional Information

TARGET AUDIENCE
The primary audience will be radiologists and imaging technologists. Other practitioners, such as physician assistants, nurse practitioners and physicians working in emergency departments, may also find the imaging approach and interpretation to be useful.

ONLINE PRESENTATIONS AND MATERIALS
Syllabus material will be available online at uwcme.org (for conference registrants only). Materials will be available beginning August 6, 2018, for registrants to print and/or download. A booklet with the conference agenda and pages for note-taking will be provided at the conference. No printed presentation materials will be available.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
Course activities are exclusively reserved for attendees. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.
