Overview
This course will provide an update and review on the imaging appearance of trauma and stroke, with a special focus on the key aspects of diagnosis and management, from the perspective of a regional network of care. Content will include indications for a higher level of care, radiology considerations for evacuation and transport, Quality Improvement, lessons learned, “what the surgeon needs to know,” implications for radiology from the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma 2022 Update (Gray Book), and local responsibilities in regional disaster response. Content will be presented by world renowned experts from the University of Washington and from trauma centers from across the United States and Canada including the perspectives of surgery, emergency medicine, neurology, regional emergency transport, and trauma network managers and policy-makers.

  1. Analyze appropriate imaging and transfer protocols.
  2. Identify common and uncommon conditions encountered in emergency radiology.
  3. Recommend appropriate actions for incidental findings.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

The Office of Continuing Medical Education must receive written notification of your cancellation by July 19, 2025. A $75 processing fee will be deducted from refund requests received by this date. No refunds will be issued following July 19, 2025. The Office of Continuing Medical Education reserves the right to cancel this course twenty (20) days prior to the course date when a minimum enrollment is not met or for other reasons that prevent the University from holding the course. Each registrant will be notified by written notification and a full refund. The University of Washington is not responsible for any other costs incurred.
