Objectives
  1. Explain the principles, methodologies, and types of healthcare simulation and their roles in enhancing patient safety, clinical education, and systems improvement.
  2. Develop strategies for using simulation-based education to enhance healthcare providers' clinical and procedural skills, communication, and teamwork.
  3. Create realistic and evidence-based simulation scenarios tailored to specific learning objectives and assess the effectiveness of these scenarios in meeting educational goals.
  4. Examine the impact of innovative technologies, such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence, on the future of healthcare simulation.
  5. Utilize frameworks and metrics to evaluate the effect of simulation training on real-world healthcare outcomes, including skill retention, patient safety, and system efficiency.
  6. Promote teamwork and collaboration across healthcare disciplines by leveraging simulation to address interprofessional challenges in clinical practice.
