Medicine Grand Rounds plays a signifi cant role in the continuing education of the Department of Medicine faculty, residents, trainees, and the community at large. The overall goals of the program are 1) to provide a brief review of new developments and keep up to date on current changes in the various disciplines of medicine; 2) to present new concepts in these disciplines; 3) to bring to our audience the most contemporary speakers to inform and suggest new ideas and concepts in the diff erent areas of medicine; and 4) to stimulate curiosity, excitement and a respectful exchange of ideas.
