The Northwest Heart Failure Collaborative (NWHFC) is a bimonthly case conference series  that aims to improve the care of patients with heart failure by increasing access to continuing education and interdisciplinary case consultations.This unique training program builds on an existing education-practice partnership between UW Medicine and the UW School of Nursing.

Target Audience: Community Providers (MD/DO, ARNP/PA, RN, PharmD, Social Work and Allied Health)

Format: 1-hour, online, case conference, 1st & 3rd Wednesdays @ Noon PDT

Content: The first 15 minutes will include a heart failure education presentation followed by 45 minutes of audience-submitted case presentations with interactive, interdiciplinary discussion

Cost: FREE to participate

The Northwest Heart Failure Collaborative (NWHFC) is a bimonthly case conference series  that aims to improve the care of patients with heart failure by increasing access to continuing education and interdisciplinary case consultations.This unique training program builds on an existing education-practice partnership between UW Medicine and the UW School of Nursing.

Target Audience: Community Providers (MD/DO, ARNP/PA, RN, PharmD, Social Work and Allied Health)

Format: 1-hour, online, case conference, 1st & 3rd Wednesdays @ Noon PDT

Content: The first 15 minutes will include a heart failure education presentation followed by 45 minutes of audience-submitted case presentations with interactive, interdiciplinary discussion

Cost: FREE to participate

CME (optional): CME Accreditation for up to 24 CME credits/year ($40/year)

This course is tailored for a primary care audience and is intended to provide practical, up-to-date information on commonly encountered cardiovascular diseases. World-class faculty from the University of Washington School of Medicine will teach participants using case-based lectures and an audience response system to encourage interactive dialogue. Recent guidelines, cardiovascular conditions, and topics such as the practical use of new anticoagulants, appropriateness of cardiac testing, and application of echocardiography in the management of valvular heart disease will be reviewed. A designated question and answer session will follow each talk, allowing for participants to engage and discuss with premier faculty on topics that are continuously changing.
