This conference will be provide an update in rheumatology This is an annual meeting that rotates between Vancouver B.C., Seattle, Portland and Spokane. Gaps in immunology knowledge and immunologically mediated diseases changes so rapidly that it is hard for the practicing clinician to keep up. This meeting will provide updates with regard to the basic immunology and the latest developments on disease influenced by immunology to improve office diagnosis and treatment of common and uncommon rheumatologic illnesses.

There will also be a half day musculoskeletal ultrasound precourse for a limited number of attendees for an additional fee. This will be a hands-on skills course focused on the upper extremity anatomy and assessment of inflammatory arthritis. This workshop will provide attendees with the opportunity to develop an approach to using ultrasound to identify the structures of the hands and wrist and to identify evidence of active inflammation by ultrasound and power doppler.

Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:

  • Describe the basics of the immunology of rheumatologic diseases
