Ileana Howard, MD

Ileana Howard, MD is the Medical Co-Director of the Interdisciplinary ALS team at the VA Puget Sound, where she oversees care for one of the most active Veteran ALS programs in the country.  After obtaining degrees at Smith College and Harvard Medical School followed by PM&R residency at the University of Washington, she now serves as Outpatient Medical Director for Rehabilitation Care and Clinical Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington. Some of her many clinical interests include electrodiagnosis, optimizing quality of life and function for persons with ALS, quality improvement, spasticity management, and healthcare provider education.
