Brief Biosketch for Mara Y Roth, MD


Mara Roth, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington (UW) and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), Seattle, WA.  Dr. Roth received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and her medical degree from Brown Medical School, Providence, RI, in 2002.  She completed residency in internal medicine and served as the chief medical resident at the University of Washington, before working as a medical officer in Whakatane, NZ.  Upon returning to the United States, she completed her fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Washington.  She joined the faculty at the University of Washington in 2010, and focuses in treatment of endocrine tumors, serving as the director of the Endocrine Tumor Program at the UW and SCCA.  She is a member of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Consortium and has an active research program in thyroid cancer diagnostics and long-term survivorship concerns among thyroid cancer survivors.
