Dr. Claudius Mahr, F.A.C.C, F.E.S.C., is a University of Washington cardiologist specializing in heart failure and heart transplantation, and a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and Cardiac Surgery.

 

Dr. Mahr is Director of Clinical Integration, University of Washington Regional Heart Center, and Medical Director, Mechanical Circulatory Support, at University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle, WA.

 

He has received formal fellowship training and board certification in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology and has a wide range of experience in the care of patients with heart failure, assist devices and heart transplantation.

 

Dr. Mahr specializes in the comprehensive, longitudinal care of patients with all etiologies of heart failure and cardiomyopathy, utilizing the latest available medical, surgical and device therapies, including mechanical assist devices and heart transplantation.

 

He is board certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology, Cardiology and Internal Medicine.

 

He is an active member of the American College of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology, the Heart Failure Association of the ESC, and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, and serves as Associate Editor of the ISHLT Newsletter, as well as on the Executive Council of the American College of Cardiology Washington Chapter.
