Pamela Pentin, MD, JD

Pamela Pentin, MD, JD, earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, and completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Vermont, where she served as Chief Resident.  An Assistant Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine, she practices full-spectrum Family Medicine, is Chief of Service at the UW Medical Center and a faculty member in the UW Family Medicine Residency.  Dr. Pentin has many years of experience in chronic pain management and the treatment of addictions, and has been a waivered prescriber of Buprenorphine for opioid use disorder since 2004.  She serves as the primary care addictions expert for the UW TelePain educational and consultative service which is broadcast weekly to medical providers throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Dr. Pentin is also in her 25th year of combined active duty and reserve service as a U.S. Navy Medical Officer, and she chairs the Washington Academy of Family Physicians’ Annual Scientific assembly.
