Dr. Christopher Sanford is an associate professor emeritus, Departments of Family Medicine and Global Health.  Dr. Sanford joined UW in 2000, and is the founding director of the University of Washington Dept. of Family Medicine Global Health Fellowship. His layman’s guide to travel health, Staying Healthy Abroad: A Global Traveler’s Guide (University of Washington Press) was published in 2018.  With UW infectious disease specialist Dr. Paul Pottinger, he hosts the Germ and World Travel Health Podcast, available at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and doctortravel.com
